Good Setting and Solo Projects are strategically located in James Bay less than 2 km from electrical transmission lines and to the east of Newmont’s Eleonore gold mining camp.
- The proximity of both projects to spodumene-bearing pegmatite outcrops underscores the significant lithium potential of the region.
- They represent under-explored areas in one of the most prolific and active hard-rock lithium jurisdictions.
- Historically, the area has been assessed by groups exploring for both uranium and gold.
Solo and Good Setting are located southwest of Winsome Resources Ltd’s Cancet and Adina lithium projects, and northeast of Allkem Ltd’s James Bay lithium project. Both projects were selected as they lie along strike from spodumene outcrops, enhancing prospectivity for lithium mineralization.
Solo:
- Location:
- Covering an area of 102.9 km sq, approximately 26 km southeast of Newmont’s Eleonore gold mine. Lithium pegmatite prospectivity is considered high, but the location is under explored for lithium. Exploration activity of prior explorers focused on the discovery of gold and uranium.
- Geology:
- The site is predominantly underlain by tonalite (granodiorite) pegmatite rocks of the LaGrande Sub-province (“LGSP”). The LGSP is a volcano-plutonic sub-province which wraps around the Opinaca Sub-province to the west in a crescent shape. It is comprised of nearly 85% plutonic rocks whose nature varies according to their relative position with respect to the volcanic bands. All the volcanic and sedimentary rocks which compose these volcanic bands are strongly deformed and metamorphosed to amphibolite grade.
Good Setting:
- Area:
- The Good Setting Project covers 11.5 sq km, and is located 47 km east of Newmont’s Eleonore gold mine.
- Geology:
- The project is within the Eastmain River Greenstone Belt. Based on historical assessment reports, pegmatitic rocks are cropping out in multiple locations across the property. These rocks were noted but never sampled as previous explorers were looking for gold.
- The area is dominated by paragneiss and migmatite. The northern part of the property includes granitic rocks including quartz diorite.

- Reprocessing of historical geophysical data to identify lithium, gold and uranium prospectivity.
